What's Included

The SIGN & GO Express or Limited

Ceremony #2

Sign & Go — also referred to as the Same Day Ceremony.

This ceremony got it’s start during the pandemic when we couldn’t get together in larger groups, We found couples enjoyed the simplicity of these ceremonies so we tweak it here and there and develop this very unique wedding. After year of performing hundreds of these celebrations we come to accept that some couples don't want to wait for the big celebration to legally become husband and wife — they want to be married now and throw the party later. We'll meet wherever's easiest (your home, a nearby coffee shop), I'll validate your marriage license, and pronounce you married — simple, warm, and legal, same day.

What couple selects The Sign & GO? It’s Ideal for couples who want to be legally married now and celebrate later, or whose timeline simply doesn't allow a long engagement. Neither this nor the full ceremony is "less than" the other — they're built for different moments. (The difference between an Express and Unlimited is that the Express is more less how it sounds. i.e we may meet at a coffee shop and sign the documents and you leave as husband and wife. You do a self- filing of marriage license with the County Clerks Office where with Limited, we can meet at any free local venue, exchange vows, rings and valid the license, and just like that you are married.

Incarcerated Wedding — True Love Has No Bars

Ceremony #3

This ceremony is limited to the San Joaquin County Jail at this time

When life doesn't always wait for perfect circumstances but love always find a way. If your loved one is currently at San Joaquin County Jail and you don't want to wait, I can help. I'll meet you at the County Clerk's office to obtain the marriage license, then meet you at the jail on the scheduled date to perform the ceremony and file the completed documents afterward.

This may not be for everyone but I have assisted 100’s though the process of marriage with these special circumstances. It is truly for spouses-to-be navigating an incarceration situation who don't want to put their life on hold. I assist you with the logistics so you can focus on the moment. The County generally reserves the last of each month for these special wedding ceremonies. So plan accordingly.

Kind Words

Couples Who Walked This Path

Six ceremonies, six different moments — the same steady presence at each one.

Alyssa

Intimate Elopement · Stockton, CA

We were 22 and just wanted to be married without the production. Pastor Ron met us at a park near our first date spot and made it feel sacred without being stiff. He remembered details we'd mentioned on the phone and worked them into the ceremony. Fifteen people, ten minutes, and we both cried. Exactly what we hoped for.

Michael & Donna

Vow Renewal · Lodi, CA

Thirty years married and we'd never had a real ceremony the first time. Pastor Ron wrote a renewal that honored everything we'd been through — the kids, the losses, the staying. Our grown children watched and cried. He's a steady, kind presence who made us feel like the only two people in the room.

Tiffany

Jail Wedding · French Camp, CA

Getting married while my husband was incarcerated felt impossible until I called Pastor Ron. He knew the San Joaquin County Jail process cold, met me at the Clerk's office for the license, and walked us through every rule so nothing surprised us. The ceremony itself was brief and respectful, and he treated my husband with real dignity.

Emily & James

Destination Wedding · South Lake Tahoe, CA

We planned a Lake Tahoe wedding from out of state and were nervous about coordinating an officiant we'd never met. Pastor Ron drove up, scoped the venue the day before, and delivered a ceremony that felt written for us — because it was. Guests assumed he'd known us for years. Worth every mile.

Sara & Marcus

Full Ceremony (Platinum) · Stockton, CA

We booked the Platinum package and it was worth it. Pastor Ron attended our rehearsal, calmed our nerves, guided the wedding party through the processional, and filed our marriage license so we didn't have to think about it afterward. The ceremony itself was warm, personal, and exactly our faith without being preachy. Highly recommend.

Brittany

Sign & Go · Manteca, CA

We needed to be legally married fast for insurance reasons and didn't want a courthouse assembly-line feel. Pastor Ron met us the same week at a coffee shop patio, took ten minutes, made it feel meaningful and not rushed, and signed our license properly. No fuss, no judgment, just done.

Questions

Everything Couples Ask

Can I really get married the same day in Stockton?

Yes — it’s one of the things couples ask about most. The Sign & Go ceremony exists exactly for this: we meet somewhere simple, I validate your marriage license, and pronounce you married, same day. It’s a great option if you want to be legally married now and celebrate with family later, or if your timeline just doesn’t allow for a long engagement. Reach out and we’ll check availability for today or this week.

How do I book Pastor Ron?

Fastest: call or text (209) 406-4177. You can also use the contact form at the bottom of this page. Tell me your date, location, and the ceremony type you’re considering — I’ll check availability and walk you through the rest. A deposit reserves your date.

What's included and how does payment work?

Each ceremony type has its own inclusions — see the service sections above for the full list. In general: you receive a custom ceremony, my travel to your venue, license validation, and photos if you’d like. A deposit reserves the date; the balance is due at or before the ceremony. Quotes are transparent — no surprise fees. Weekend, holiday, and out-of-Stockton travel fees are always stated upfront before you commit.

What happens during a San Joaquin County Jail wedding?

It’s simpler than most people expect. First, we meet at the San Joaquin County Clerk’s Office to get the marriage license. Then, on your scheduled date, I meet you and your partner at the jail to perform the ceremony, and afterward I file the completed documents with the County Clerk. This service is currently offered exclusively for San Joaquin County Jail. If you’re navigating this situation, reach out — I’ll walk you through exactly what to expect.

Do we need to provide the marriage license?

Yes — for any wedding I solemnize in California, you’ll need a valid marriage license issued by a California county clerk. You can get one from the San Joaquin County Clerk’s office or any county in the state; both parties must appear in person with valid photo ID. For Platinum ceremonies, I’ll bring the signing to your ceremony and file the license with the county afterward so you don’t have to make a second trip.

What should we and our guests wear?

Wear what feels right to you. I’ve married couples in formal gowns and tuxedos, in sundresses and linen shirts, and in jeans on the courthouse steps — and every ceremony has been just as meaningful. For a Full Ceremony at a venue, traditional wedding attire is perfect; for a Sign & Go, dress comfortably. If your ceremony is at the jail or a courthouse, modest, plain clothing is required by the venue. I’ll match your tone either way.

What's your rescheduling and cancellation policy?

Life happens — illness, weather, family changes — and I’ll always work with you to find a new date that fits, with your deposit applied to the rescheduled ceremony. If you need to cancel entirely, deposits are refundable up to 14 days before your scheduled date; within that window the deposit is retained. I’ll send the full policy in writing with your booking confirmation so there are no surprises.

Can Pastor Ron travel for our destination wedding?

Yes. I travel nationwide for couples who want that same warm, personal, not-over-the-top ceremony style. The first 25 miles from Stockton are included; extended California travel is a flat $150–$500; out-of-state and destination weddings are quoted per booking (typically travel + one night’s lodging where an overnight is required). Reach out early — I recommend 60–90 days lead time so travel and any state-specific requirements can be confirmed.

Do we need a rehearsal?

No rehearsal is required — I guide you through every part of the ceremony on the day, so you always know what’s happening next. If you’d like a rehearsal anyway (or it’s part of a larger wedding weekend), the Platinum package includes rehearsal attendance. Most couples skip it and the ceremony still flows perfectly.

What's your style — religious or not?

Spiritual, but not over-the-top religious. I’m an ordained minister, but the ceremonies I perform are built around you — your story, your values, your moment. You’re free to add religious elements, readings, or traditions, or keep it secular. Most couples I marry want something meaningful without feeling like a church service, and that’s exactly what I deliver.
